Physiotherapy Clinic in Hadapsar Knee is a complex joint between our hip and ankle joints. Many muscles work to improve and maintain our activities of daily living such as sitting, standing, walking, stair climbing, etc.
When the knee undergoes a surgery due to
fracture, ligament injury, knee replacement or any other procedures, muscles around the knee joint develop weakness. They need to be trained so that daily tasks can be performed with ease.

*How do I improve my muscle strength after a knee surgery?
Physiotherapy helps in improving your muscle strength, regain range of motion or mobility and also get back to your favorite sports, adventures and a lot more. This is known as Functional rehabilitation.
*What exercises are to be done after a knee surgery?
Here are some basic exercises. You must consult a Physiotherapist before starting any form of exercises.
1. Knee press or tightening the knee:
Place a small towel roll under your knee. Press the knee down and tighten the knee. Hold for 5 counts and repeat 10 times.
2. Heel press:
Place a small towel roll under the heels. Press the heel down on the towel roll. Hold for 5 counts and repeat 10 times.
3. Ankle-toe movements:
This is an extremely important exercise to be performed on an hourly basis. It prevents excessive swelling around the legs and keeps the ankle mobile.
Move the ankle and toes upand down as shown.
These are some basic exercises that can be performed by any individual who has undergone a knee surgery.
Further advance exercises are done under the supervision of a Physiotherapist.
Recovery from a knee surgery depends entirely on following up regularly with your
